Few takers for changes in GRE

Fifty percent off guard GRE test takers in August and September 2011, the Educational Testing Service (ETS), where the trial takes place, the announcement of a price bar on Thursday.

While the candidates will get an irresistible offer to write GRE at Rs 5000 per attempt in recent months, generosity is viewed with suspicion by ETS students in the city who worry about the test patterns veranderd be applied as of July 2011 .

ETS has announced a change in the pattern of GRE six months ago saying that since August 2011, it will be a test of verbal reasoning test based on vocabulary.

You can always use the GRE, but remember that you are allowed to take only once per calendar month. Because all previous scores are sent to the institutions you are applying, not the GRE and practice.

GRE Test: The quantative reasoning section

The 45-minute quantitative reasoning section in GRE test consist of 28 questions designed to measure the following skills:

  • Your proficiency in arithmetical operations
  • Your proficiency at solving algebraic equations and applying simple functions
  • Your ability to convert verbal information into mathematical terms
  • Your ability to visualize geometric shapes and numerical relationships
  • Your ability to devise intuitive and unconventional solutions or conventional mathematical problems

You will need to perform simple calculations to answer many of the questions. But you won’t need to do a lot of number crunching, that’s not what you’re being tested on.
