The Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) is designed by ETS, which was established in 1947. The main purpose of GRE is to examine students for graduate level education. It is meant for admission to business schools and fellowship programs.

More than three thousands graduate and business schools provide admission on the basis of GRE score.
